Wonderful walking tour with Melanie. She was knowledgeable and entertaining. Excellent at leading and corraling the group, spoke clearly and was funny, full of interesting facts. Considerate of members of the group as well as others all around us. We really appreciated her hard work and highly recommend the experience.

Despite the fact that the organizers had difficulty locating our names within the registrations list, the matter was quickly resolved and we were assigned to Joe’s group. Joe was everything you would want in a tour guide: welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, easy to understand and articulate. Excellent value and we highly recommend this tour.

The tour as it was, conducted by Catherine, was very informative and she had a very resourceful memory of dates and events, plus an entertaining way to communicate with us. Still, two things struck us: 1) she spoke very fast, which, as we were a very diverse group caused a bit of a problem for some of us. 2) When we booked the tour it was said to bring us to some of the J.K. Rowling places (Greyfriars Kirkyard, Elephant) but we went down the Royal mile. What happened?

Abbiamo fatto il Free tour a Edimburgo in Italiano con Ayrton, una guida a dir poco eccezionale! Ci ha fatto visitare tutto il centro storico raccontano e descrivendo monumenti, personaggi, curiosità e momenti storici con grande competenza, grande passione e simpatia. We did the Free tour in Edinburgh in Italian with Ayrton, an exceptional guide to say the least! He took us around the entire historic center, telling and describing monuments, characters, curiosities and historical moments with great competence, great passion and sympathy. It was two extremely pleasant, interesting and never boring hours, I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know a little more deeply the city they are visiting. Opinion translated. The walking tour was fab. Edinburgh is full of surprises and wonderful history and facts that we were told about. Wooden skyscrapers that sway in the wind and fall over, wow! And all the Harry Potter inspiration. Definitely recommend! Donate to the guide direct at the end.

A fabulous tour / great guide The guide was a Scotsman … which really gave the tour passion, he was incredibly knowledgeable, and easily answered all questions. The group was @ 10 people …. So everyone could hear what was being said and the information never seemed rushed. He defo has a fascination with the macabre which went down really well Thoroughly recommend …. Give what you think the guide is worth at the end!! Would certainly use the company if they work in other cities. Well worth it!!

La guida è stata gentile ed oltre narrare la città ci ha anche dato informazioni interessanti ed utili extra. Sicuramente lo consigliamo a tutti. Da prendere in considerazione che il pagamento viene richiesto solo in moneta locale, con possibilità di pagare anche con carta. E con quantità minima richiesta.

Tour ben organizzato, focalizzato su fatti salienti della città in 2 h. Non abbiamo apprezzato la precisazione della guida relativa alla mancia in relazione al num di partecipanti: siccome il tour parte con un min di 5/6 persone ed eravamo solo 4, ci è stato detto velatamente che avremmo dovuto adeguarci con una mancia più abbondante, senza proporci alternative (annullare il tour, ad esempio). Abbiamo quindi pagato l'equivalente della visita di 3 h, pur avendo prenotato la versione free. Translate this opinion into English.

Well organized tour, focused on the city's highlights in 2 hours. We did not appreciate the guide's clarification regarding the tip in relation to the number of participants: since the tour starts with a minimum of 5/6 people and we were only 4, we were told in a veiled way that we should have adjusted with a larger tip, without offering us alternatives (cancel the tour, for example). We therefore paid the equivalent of the 3-hour visit, even though we had booked the free version. Opinion translated. Show original.
