Explore the Scottish Highlands on this excursion from Edinburgh and discover natural landscapes, the oldest working whisky distillery in Scotland and historical monuments in one day!
Scottish Highlands Tour
We'll meet at 8:30 am on 60 High Street (Royal Mile) and hop on a bus to travel to the beautiful Scottish Highlands.
After an hour's journey, we'll arrive in the legendary city of Stirling, where we'll set off on a panoramic tour to admire its magnificent medieval castle. We'll also stop at the National Wallace Monument and find out all about the 13th-century hero it commemorates, who was a key figure in the first War of Scottish Independence.
The next part of the tour will take us to Scotland's oldest working whisky distillery, where you'll get to try some of this iconic national beverage and even take away a whisky miniature as a free souvenir! You'll also have some free time to get something to eat here.
After lunch, we'll head to the Hermitage Forest and take a pleasant walk along the banks of the River Braan until we reach the famous Black Linn Falls. It'll take your breath away!
Our next stop will be in Dunkeld, a picturesque village where we'll admire the magnificent cathedral on the banks of the River Tay. Lastly, before returning to Edinburgh we'll cross the iconic Forth Bridge. Did you know it's been declared a World Heritage Site?
The tour will end back at the starting point at 5.30 pm.
